Herewith just nak share about What shall I use to check the defect? What to check? How to do the defect list?
Tools for Defect Checking (If the Building/ New House)
1) Tapping Rod
2) Spirit Level (1.2m)
3) L- Square
4) Steel Wedge
5) Mirror
6) and last but not least - your Eyes, itself ...
P/S: Advisable to bring chalk, masking tape/ sticker & marker to mark the defects.
What to Check??
1) Floor
2) Wall
3) Ceiling
4) Door
5) Window
6) Basic M&E Fitting (Such as SSO, switches, light, water tap)
7) Internal Fixture (Such as kitchen cabinet, build in furniture)

And for my current project, i did provide areas whereby Contractor, Quality Dept. and Clerk-Of-Work to Sign Off after verify the rectified defects.
